Our winery History In the heart of the Georgian countryside Imereti, winemaking has been a sacred tradition for centuries. Inspired by the memory of our forefathers who once grow vineyards on these very slopes, our family set out to create our own winery. Everything began with qvevris beneath the sprawling walnut tree, whose shade provided a welcoming refuge for neighbours and guests to gather after a long, tiring day. Over time, this spot became more than just a place of winemaking, it grew into the heart of our home. People would come together under the tree, sharing stories, laughter, and glasses of rich, golden wine. Conversations flowed as easily as the wine itself, weaving together memories, traditions, and dreams for the future. As time passed, the walnut tree grew older, and those who once enjoyed its shade have gone. Yet, we always remember that the Nikoladze family must continue its story for generations to come. We built a new winery and revived the vineyard, carefully nurturing native grape varieties such as Tsolikouri, Tsitska, and Sapere. Buried new qvevris, giving birth to new wines of our family. Today, friends and visitors are welcomed to our place to share in the experience, enjoying the wine alongside the family’s stories, Legends and myth of our homeland. We have continuously refined our processes, staying open to innovation while remaining true to our roots. Attending specialized wine exhibitions has allowed us to share our wines with a wider audience, gain valuable feedback, and build connections with wine enthusiasts from around the world. In 2015, we took a significant step forward by revitalizing our vineyard. We planted new vines and committed to using only natural, eco-friendly materials to support their healthy growth. More recently, we completed the infrastructure of our family winery, adding a dedicated wine storage space and a tasting room where guests can fully experience the depth and character of our wines. Innovation has been key to our progress. In 2017, we installed a temperature and humidity control system to ensure optimal conditions for winemaking. By 2020, we implemented a fermentation temperature control system, further refining our ability to preserve the ideal environment for wine formation. In 2025, we opened a shop in Kutaisi to warmly welcome wine enthusiasts who may not have the opportunity to visit our winery outside the city.
